Banjo-Kazooie: The Crystal Jiggy is a fan game thought of back in 2008. The project proved unsuccessful the first time arond and eventually was canned. Recenlty, parts of the old team decided to reform and attempt this again. With lots of new faces and more capable members, we are now seeing twice as much progress as we had seen before. The team is still growing but is well on its way to becoming a stong and large team. Our goal is to put out a brand new Banjo-Kazooie game for all of the fans. The game is planned to be a traditional platformer with new and fresh elements.
The story takes place between Banjo-Tooie and Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts. Gruntilda the witch is back again and is seeking to take down the bear and bird once and for all. Desperate, she turns to an old friend of Klungo's: Fester The Rat. The lab rat was mutated at a young age as part of a research project in Isle O Hags (much like Klungo's mutation). Over the years he has grown to be quite the evil master mind, even taking down his own creators. The witch and lab rat cross paths and pair up to take down Banjo and Kazooie once and for all. First order of business? Lure in their prey. Grunty and Fester concoct a devious plan to lure Banjo and Kazooie in and proceed steal the sacred Crystal Jiggy from Jiggywiggy's Temple (as seen in Banjo-Tooie). They use its power to create a carefully devised hub world: Jiggopolis. A city containing 5 - 6 worlds that the bear and bird would traverse.
Shortly after the heist, JiggyWiggy comes to Banjo and Kazooie pleading for help. He needs them to retrieve the Crystal Jiggy and restore all of its energy. Everything is going according to Grunty and Fester's plan. Banjo and Kazooie enter Jiggopolis to come after Grunty and her new unidentified assistant. Will Banjo and Kazooie stop get back the sacred Jiggy and stop Grunty? The answer is left in your hands.
The Crystal Jiggy is a traditional Banjo-Kazooie Platformer with new and fresh features. We all know that Nuts & Bolts is a vehicle based game. TCJ will introduce players to a more mechanic theme with the addition of Gadgets. The idea behind the gadgets is to give players a new and fresh way to play the hsmr. While you're still on foot (or on Talon) and using your moves, the gadgets allow you to do things you normally couldn't with your basic moves.
